We do our rehearsal in the arena tonight with some of the performers, because we’re performing a brand new song called mountain on Saturday night at the Grand Final. We had our first get together before the rehearsals. Have you had any particularly unforgettable moments with fans when you’ve met them in person? I just thought it was really cool all these things like big structures lying dormant until their three minutes were here. So when you walk past the stage, you glance into this big warehouse and everyone’s different staging is parked up, but on wheels, ready to be rushed on in 40 seconds. We’re seeing the shock waves of it now this year, and seeing everyone excited about something that all of us love so much, it’s just incredibly rewarding. People I’m happy to have included, some of my best friends, my partner and some amazing colleagues. Although it was me standing in that little thing last year with my guitar and my like spacesuit on, there was a whole little gang of pals backstage for the ride, and for the months leading up to it. I’m grateful I had such an amazing team along with me. I want to tread carefully through this because I don’t want to take ownership of that situation that we find ourselves in.
